Mycoplasma genitalium



Mycoplasma genitalium is a bacteria that transmits through intercourse. It is uncertain whether it can be transmitted through oral sex or anal intercourse.
 
Symptoms of Mycoplasma genitalium is typically urethral discharge and burning pain when urinating. Girls may experience vaginal discharge and inflammation of the internal female sexual organs.  As for boys, the infection can develop into an inflammation in the epididymis.
 
The infection is easily treated with antibiotics. You can get screened for Mycoplasma genitalium at your doctor or a venereal clinic.
 
Use of condom protects you from getting Mycoplasma genitalium.
